Where’s That Book isn’t just designed for books you have at home. I’ve just added a feature that puts any book you add to one of two shelves: “Your Shelf” or “World Shelf”.

The shelves allow you to organize your books and also set default values for the ‘Own it?’ and ‘Read it?’ questions for each book you add to that shelf. When you upload a new shelf image you will see underneath “Default options for the books”, which you can reveal if you wish, or just ignore it and the upload will work regardless.
If you do choose to reveal it you will be able to choose the shelf the books are being loaded on to and the default answers to the ‘Own it?’ and ‘Read it?’ questions. If you choose the “World Shelf” the defaults will change from yes to no for both questions (the default defaults, obviously), but you can change those defaults for this particular image.

The shelves are now an option on the book search page as well.

What’s the point?
When you add new books it can be tedious to go through them all and set them to “Read it? -> Yes!” or whatever, so I wanted to add some sensible defaults. “Your Shelf” defaults to books you both own and read. The “World Shelf” is for books you encounter out in the world, and the default settings for those books is neither owner nor read.
Can I edit the shelves or add shelves? World Shelf is a stupid name.
Not yet but I want to add that feature soon. Let me know what you would like to be able to do with these shelves.
